Guide to Making a Good Confession
O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee, and I detest all my sins because of Thy just punishment - but most of all because they offend Thee, my God, Who art all-good and deserving of all love. I firmly resolve, with the Help of Thy Grace, to sin no more and to avoid the near occasion of sin. Amen.
O my God, I firmly believe that Thou art one God in three divine Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. I believe that Thy divine Son became man, died for our sins, and that He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe these and all the truths which the Holy Catholic Church teacheth, because Thou hast revealed them, Who canst neither deceive nor be deceived. Amen.
O my God, relying on Thine almighty power and infinite mercy and promises, I hope to obtain pardon of my sins, the Help of Thy Grace, and Life Everlasting through the merits of Jesus Christ, our Redeemer and Lord. Amen.
O my God, I love Thee above all things, with my whole heart and soul, because Thou art all-good and worthy of all love. I love my neighbor as myself for love of Thee. I forgive all who have injured me and ask pardon of all whom I have injured. Amen.
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended to the dead. On the third day He rose again. He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
Good night, Lord. It's been a good day. I'm encouraged by the things that went well, and challenged by those that need improvement. Most of all, I'm looking forward to tomorrow because I know that You'll be with me, leading, guiding, blessing as You accomplish Your will through me. Amen.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be world without end.
Hail Mary Full of grace, the Lord is with Thee. Blessed are thou among women, And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Thank you, Lord, for this new day so much like yesterday and yet so very special. Something wonderful can happen today. I can find a new friend, reach out and help someone, or fill the hours with productive work and have a feeling of contentment and satisfaction. Thank you, Lord, for breathing purpose into my day and making me aware of its importance. Let it bring glory to you. Amen.
We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, one in Being with the Father, through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven; by the power of the Holy Spirit he was born of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered, died, and was buried. On the third day he rose again in fulfillment of the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son he is worshipped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.
Our Father, Who art in heaven, hollowed be thy name Thy kingdom come, thy will be done On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen.
